The Job
You will become part of the Technical Division in the Immersed Tunnel Department and reporting to Construction Marine Manager.

As a Survey Manager, you will be responsible for parts of the on-site survey management in close cooperation with the construction marine manager and the construction area managers. This involves monitoring of the contractor’s planning and execution of the survey activities.

On a daily basis, you will also work in close corporation with other departments e.g. Safety and Emergency, Environmental department and the site construction managers, for ensuring fulfilment of requirements and coordination in the contractor’s site activities.

Your key tasks 
As the Survey Manager you will have to work hands-on with a variety of project essential marine operations, which includes cleaning of tunnel trench, placing of foundation base, towing and immersion of the tunnel elements, backfilling operations and much more.

Your job will also include:

  • Review of the contractors’ planning and executing documents in the area of offshore and onshore survey works.
  • Planning, witnessing and reporting of all survey monitoring activities.
  • Coordinating with the Health and Safety Manager and the Emergency Coordinator in the planning, preparing and reporting on safety and emergency issues, when necessary.
  • Coordinating with Environmental Manager in the planning, preparing and reporting on environmental issues, when necessary.
  • Participating in the Go/NoGo procedures and meetings for ensuring the contractors’ handling of risk mitigations for survey related issues.
  • Ensuring that the contractor fulfils the quality and positioning tolerances in the requirements during the construction phase.

Your profile
You have a survey engineer education with minimum 10 years of experience especially at offshore and underwater construction survey management of complex projects.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • High survey engineering skills especially for offshore construction works e.g. dredging, bedding, immersion and positioning of tunnel elements, bathymetric insurvey, interim and outsurveys for the trenches.
  • Microsoft Office –  GNSS and Marine GNSS – Drone Surveys – Multibeam echo sounder and Single Beam – Immersed Structures positioning control
  • Flexible and open-minded
  • Focused and require high quality in your work
  • Dynamic and structured – working with more tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communications skills. All project communication will be in English
