The organisation & the Team
COWI’s Building & Industry Executing Unit in Denmark, consists of approximately 1,050 professionals, including around 550 specialists across all building-related disciplines.
Within this framework, you will be part of a dedicated Multidisciplinary Project Management team in Lyngby, consisting of approximately 35 committed colleagues, and a Project Management Consultancy team of around 30 specialists. This structure ensures a strong, supportive, and highly professional environment focused on excellence in project delivery.

The Challenge
As a Multidisciplinary Project Manager for construction projects in Denmark, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of building projects—from initial planning through to execution. Your role will encompass quality assurance, budget control, contractual and financial oversight, as well as the coordination of timelines and resources.
You will also act as the key liaison with clients and collaborate closely with stakeholders such as public authorities, contractors, and design partners.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading new construction and renovation projects from concept to completion
- Participating in large-scale projects as part of a broader project management team
- Managing complex stakeholder environments, clients, authorities, contractors, and design partners
- Maintain close collaboration with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are consistently met
- Overseeing project scope, schedule, risks, and cost management
- Ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability across all project stages
- Driving cross-disciplinary collaboration across COWI’s teams and geographies
- Contributing to the professional development of project team members

Qualifications and key competencies:
- A relevant academic background in civil engineering, architecture, or a related discipline
- Professional experience in Denmark, with in-depth knowledge of all phases of the Danish building project lifecycle
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex project environments
- A proactive and structured approach to work, with keen attention to detail
- A self-motivated and inspiring personality that promotes teamwork and positive dynamics
- Proficiency in Danish and English, both spoken and written
